BAMS is a 5.5-year undergraduate degree — four and a half years of study followed by a one-year compulsory internship — that trains you in Ayurvedic medicine alongside anatomy, physiology, pathology and other foundations of modern medicine. The course and colleges are regulated by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
